Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc has launched a Rights Issue valued at approximately N486 billion as part of its broader recapitalization strategy aimed at strengthening its financial position and supporting future growth initiatives.
The move comes at a time when investor participation in the Nigerian capital market remains robust. Data from the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) indicates that total domestic and foreign portfolio investments increased to N1.803 trillion in April 2026, representing a 3.35% month-on-month increase from N1.744 trillion recorded in March 2026.
The successful execution of the Rights Issue is expected to provide the company with additional capital to finance strategic projects, improve operational efficiency, and enhance shareholder value over the medium to long term.
